Boomi International Research Journal of Tamil

The Tamil language has a literary tradition spanning over two thousand five hundred years. It is the oldest language in the world and has earned the status of an ‘ancient language’ among the world’s languages. We hope that this journal will be useful for researchers in this unique language to share their views on literature, culture, archaeology, epigraphy, folklore, temple art, psychiatry, linguistics, criticism, Tamil literary works, psychology, feminism, comparative perspective, global translation literature, etc., as well as other Tamil-related fields.

In today’s environment, quality, internationally recognized journals are needed in Tamil to elevate Tamil studies to the standards of global research trends. They should make their contributions through quality articles. With this in mind, an online journal called Boomi International Research Journal of Tamil has been launched. Efforts have been made since 2023 and the first issue was published in January- March 2025. It is a multidisciplinary journal that is peer-reviewed. This journal is a platform set up with a sense of dedication to promote and publish articles that include research-based quality innovative ideas written in Tamil and English. We kindly request all professors and researchers to send quality research articles to this online  and Print journal, which will be published quarterly every three months (January – March, April – June, July – September, and  October – December).

பூமி பன்னாட்டுத் தமிழ் ஆய்வு இதழ்

தமிழ்மொழி இரண்டாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறு ஆண்டுகளுக்கும்மேல் பழமைவாய்ந்த இலக்கிய மரபைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது உலகிலேயே மிகவும் பழமைவாய்ந்த மொழியாகவும், உலகமொழிகளுள் ‘செம்மொழி’ என்னும் தகுதியையும் பெற்றுள்ள மொழி. இச்சிறப்புமிக்க மொழியில் ஆய்வாளர்கள் தங்களது ஆய்வினை இலக்கியம், பண்பாடு, தொல்லியல், கல்வெட்டியல், நாட்டுப்புறக்கலை, கோயிற்கலை, சித்தமருத்துவம், மொழியியல், திறனாய்வு, தமிழிலக்கிய படைப்புகள், உளவியல், பெண்ணியம், ஒப்பியல் நோக்கு, உலகளாவிய மொழிபெயர்ப்பு இலக்கியங்கள் முதலிய தமிழ் சார்ந்த பிற தளங்களையும் நோக்குவதற்காகவும், தங்கள் கருத்துகளை பகிர்ந்திடவும் இந்த இதழ் பயன்படும் என நம்புகிறோம்.

இன்றைய சூழலில் உலகளாவிய ஆய்வுப்போக்குகளின் தரத்திற்கேற்ப தமிழாய்வினை உயர்த்துவதற்குத் தமிழில் தரமான, பன்னாட்டு ஏற்புடைய ஆய்விதழ்கள் தேவைப்படுகின்றன. தரமான கட்டுரைகள் வாயிலாகத் தங்களது பங்களிப்புக்களைச் செய்யவேண்டும். இதனை மனதில்கொண்டே  பூமி பன்னாட்டுத் தமிழ் ஆய்வு இதழ்(Boomi International Research Journal of Tamil) எனும் இணைய இதழ் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 2023 முதல் முயற்சிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு ஜனவரி- மார்ச், 2025 இல் முதல் இதழ் வெளிவந்துள்ளது. இது சக ஆய்வாளர்களால் மதிப்பீடு செய்யப்படும் பல்துறை ஆய்விதழாகும். இவ்வாய்விதழ் தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலத்தில்  எழுதப்படும் ஆராய்ச்சி அடிப்படையிலான தரமான புதுமைச் சிந்தனைகளை உள்ளடக்கிய கட்டுரைகளை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்கும், வெளியீடு செய்வதற்கும் அர்ப்பணிப்பு உணர்வுடன் அமைக்கப்பட்ட களமாகும். மூன்று மாதங்களுக்கு ஒருமுறை(ஜனவரி- மார்ச், ஏப்ரல்- ஜூன், ஜூலை- செப்டம்பர், அக்டோபர்- டிசம்பர்) ஆகிய மாதங்களில் காலாண்டிதழாகத் தொடர்ந்து வெளிவரும் இந்த இணைய  மற்றும் பிரிண்ட் இதழுக்கு, அனைத்துப் பேராசிரியர்களும் ஆய்வாளர்களும் தரமான ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளை அனுப்பி,  நல் ஒத்துழைப்பு நல்குமாறு அன்போடு வேண்டுகிறோம்.
